
Victory Packaging wraps up a new lighting system
As part of their proactive management process, Victory Packaging undertook a lighting upgrade in 2006 to address the inefficient and costly lighting system in place throughout its 160,000 square-foot production and warehouse facility. They were plagued with a system was inefficient, non-standardized, and delivered less than optimal light levels. Victory Packaging wanted to reduce its energy consumption and costs and simultaneously increase the quantity and quality of light. With customized design and installation support from PCG Worldwide, Victory Packaging's old lighting fixtures were upgrade to help them save energy while enhancing cash flows via the use of energy efficient conservation measures.

Project Scope
Upgrade of old HID and fluorescent lighting within the company's warehouse to a system involving more efficient 54-watt fluorescent T5/HO lamps driven by electronic ballasts to improve light levels and reduce energy consumption and costs.
Results
- Reduction in Annual Energy Consumption: 212, 433 kWh
- Increase in Light Levels: From as little as 5-6 footcandles to as much as 10 times that
- Annual Energy Cost Savings: $18,300
